About the role

The Tax Senior at CDH CPA, PLLC, plays a crucial role in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, assisting in tax planning projects, and managing engagements for multiple clients. They are responsible for the professional development and supervision of assigned tax staff and assist in all client management and practice development activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews a variety of tax returns
• Affords assistance in tax planning projects
• Takes ownership of tax-related projects and serves as the primary source of assistance for tax staff and interns
• Reviews team members' work and provides feedback to ensure proper documentation for manager approval
• Delegates and leverages work and tasks appropriately; explains the purpose and goal of tasks to staff, manages staff and client expectations, and ensures timely completion of assigned projects
• Provides training, feedback, and developmental opportunities for staff and interns
• Affords assistance in analyzing the tax costs and benefits for a proposed business
• Participates in transfer pricing activities and other specialized projects
• Shares research results on technical issues using regulatory and source materials with team members and may serve as an expert in one or more areas of the process
• Prepares and reviews the initial drafts of tax notices and letters
• Ensures tax returns are prepared in accordance with the terms of the various governing documents and applicable federal tax and state law
• Utilizes Firm's software to automate the data transfer process from the trial balance to the financial statements and eventually for the preparation of the tax return

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
• Current CPA license preferred
• 3-5 years of related tax experience
• Bilingual - Japanese a plus

Pay

$78,000 - $98,000 per year
