The Opportunity
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and organised Tax Senior to support our Personal Tax team in delivering excellent client service. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in taxation while gaining hands-on experience across a varied client portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of personal tax returns for a range of clients
- Support the competition of capital gains tax computations
- Prepare and maintain client records and tax documentation
- Liaise with HMRC and clients regarding routine tax matters
- Support senior colleagues with tax compliance and administrative duties
- Assist with client billing and collection processes
- Conduct basic tax research and assist in preparing technical information
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Support the wider tax team with ad hoc projects assignments
Skills/Experience
- ATT qualified or relevant job experience
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Desirable
- Experience preparing personal tax returns
- Knowledge of self-assessment procedures
- Previous experience in an accountancy or tax environment is desirable
- Ambition to study towards CTA qualification
