Tax Senior Associate - Exempt Organizations Tax Services

About the team
This position will support the National Tax Team, which in turn supports the firm’s broader tax practice. The right candidate will have a growth mindset, expand their knowledge within the tax space associated with specialized services and varying industries, and collaborate on thought leadership, webinars, and seminars. The role is results-focused, assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their business goals.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of 990 and 990-PF tax returns
- Preparation and review of 5500 tax returns as needed
- Previous tax and/or audit experience with Not-for-Profit entities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Tax is a plus
- CPA, LLM, or JD is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive tax experience
- Strong tax research skills
- Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, as well as exceptional client service skills
- Proven competence with MS Office and tax compliance and research software, including ProSystem, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH Axcess, and RIA

Pay
In California, the salary range for this role is $80,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon skills, experience, qualifications, and location, in accordance with applicable employment laws.
