Tax Senior Associate [Commercial Real Estate]
About the role
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm with most professionals working within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This Tax Senior Associate position is considered hybrid, and professionals are encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days per week to create opportunities for in-person collaboration. The cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level.
Your team
This position supports the Real Estate Industry Group and specifically the Commercial Real Estate team, one of the country’s largest real estate advisory groups. You will work with clients advancing community development, addressing inequities, and leveraging market-leading technologies and processes to better serve communities.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team to meet various department deadlines throughout the year
- Assist with the process and review of 1065 tax returns
- Demonstrate effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear direction and leadership
- Complete ad hoc projects as needed
Your experience
- BS/BA in accounting preferred
- MST and CPA preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Commercial Real Estate industry experience preferred
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong tax research and writing skills
- Proven technical skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Competence with tax compliance and research software including Go Systems, BNA Portfolio and Projection, CCH, and RIA
- Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask

Pay
In Maryland, the salary range for a Tax Senior Associate is $80,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation within the range will be based on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
