About the Role
This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities, including applying tax knowledge to intermediate level flow-through returns and complex individual returns, performing reviews of individual and business tax returns, and guiding and developing staff throughout engagements.
Responsibilities
- Apply tax knowledge to intermediate level flow-through returns and complex individual returns
- Perform reviews of individual and business tax returns while providing guidance to junior team members and interns
- Research tax issues to identify options that align with client goals
- Resolve open items and issues on assigned engagements
- Manage engagement budgets and individual productivity; proactively identify efficiencies
- Effectively manage and prioritize concurrent assignments through to completion
- Guide and develop staff throughout engagements, offering timely, honest, and constructive feedback to support their growth
- Serve as a buddy and role model through active participation in firm committees and events
- Contribute new ideas that improve outcomes for clients, the firm, and colleagues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS/MAcc preferred
- CPA license or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
- 2+ years of relevant tax experience including partnerships; Real Estate/Construction experience is a plus but not required
- Basic supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance software
