About the role
We are seeking a motivated Tax Senior Associate ready to elevate their career while making a meaningful impact at WebsterRogers, a leading tax and advisory practice in South Carolina. This position is available in our Charleston, Florence, or Bluffton office and offers an exciting opportunity for a tax professional to take on more ownership, deepen client relationships, and build toward a leadership track within the firm.
Responsibilities
- Apply tax knowledge to intermediate-level flow-through returns and complex individual returns.
- Apply strong analytical skills to business transactions.
- Perform reviews of individual and business tax returns while providing guidance to junior team members and interns.
- Research tax issues to identify options that align with client goals.
- Resolve open items and issues on assigned engagements.
- Manage engagement budgets and individual productivity; proactively identify efficiencies.
- Effectively manage and prioritize concurrent assignments through to completion.
- Guide and develop staff throughout engagements, offering timely, honest, and constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Serve as a buddy and role model through active participation in firm committees and events.
- Contribute new ideas that improve outcomes for clients, the firm, and colleagues.
- Perform other duties within the scope of practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MS/MAcc preferred.
- CPA license or eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
- 2+ years of relevant tax experience, including partnerships; Real Estate/Construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance software.

- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and know when to escalate issues.
