Tax Senior Associate

About the role
This position will support our Affordable Housing Group. You will work on a team with Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners, collaborating with clients driving community development, addressing inequities, and propelling the industry forward with market-leading technologies and processes.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm; team members are expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration, with the cadence determined at the team level.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Develop detailed engagement work plans, budgets, and schedules
- Actively participate in proposals
- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
- Gain the respect and confidence of the team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear direction and leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
- CPA, JD, or EA preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Affordable Housing Industry experience preferred
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong tax research and writing skills
- Proven technical skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Competence with tax compliance and research software (Go Systems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, RIAS)
- Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

Pay
In Colorado, the salary range for a Tax Senior Associate is $80,000 to $115,000.
