Tax Senior Associate

Essential Functions And Primary Duties

• Researchs, completes, and reviews technical areas related to accounting standards and reporting standards.
• Addresses questions on technical accounting matters from team members and upper level client management.
• Performs a detailed review of team’s workflow and monitors tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Manages multiple assignments within an engagement.
• Communicates with Partner, Manager, and/or Supervising Senior on work status and client issues that arise.
• Leverages staff and designs staffing structures for engagements.
• Trains, supervises, and mentors lower-level staff.
• Takes a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree with a preferred field of study in Accounting.
• CPA eligible.
• 3+ years or relevant work and industry experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field.
• CPA candidates preferred.
• 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks.
• Proficient use of applicable technology.
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
