Responsibilities

  • Provide tax advocacy and controversy services on civil matters.
  • Representing clients for IRS notice responses, penalty abatement requests, and other IRS negotiations.
  • Advocate on clients' behalf before IRS collections and all 50 state tax agencies.
  • Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the client for consideration.
  • Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • EA Required (CPA or JD optional).
  • Must have a PTIN.
  • 4-year degree, License eligible required.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a professional services firm providing tax compliance services or equivalent government agency required.
  • Previous experience in tax advocacy or controversy a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required.
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and comfortably interact with both internal and external clients on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills.
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills.

Pay

The pay rate range for this job position is $81,450 to $154,430. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
