Tax Representative
About the role
The Tax Representative is primarily responsible for analyzing the Funds books and records to provide accurate and timely fund distributions, tax returns and shareholder reporting and to ensure compliance with various Tax Agencies. This includes 40-Act Retail Mutual Funds, Canadian Mutual Fund Trusts, Partnerships and ETFs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the Funds books and records to provide accurate and timely fund distributions, tax returns and shareholder reporting and to ensure compliance with various Tax Agencies.
- Prepare the dividend estimate on an annual and interim basis.
- Prepare the 1120-RIC tax returns and provide support for Tax related tasks.
- Support ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- General knowledge of accounting and tax principles
- Knowledge of financial services industry is a plus, not required
- Experience in fund operations, or tax strongly preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
- Organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work overtime (as needed) to fulfill the job requirements
- Able to embrace and adapt to an ever-changing technological environment

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model: Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles.
