Responsibilities
- Prepare and review the US income tax provision on a quarterly and annual basis in accordance with ASC 740.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Treasury, Legal on transactions, restructurings, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze the US tax impact of international tax provisions, including GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credits.
- Analyze and monitor US tax implications on real estate investments (FIRPTA rules, transfer taxes).
- Design, implement, and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over US income tax reporting; manage interactions with the external auditors and coordinate supporting documentation.
- Oversee US federal and multi-state income tax compliance, including multi-state apportionment schedules, in partnership with external advisors, including the review of returns, estimated payments, and extensions.
- Support on drafting and completing different US federal tax forms (for US and non-US entities) and US tax registrations.
- Monitor and assess the impact of new US and international tax legislation, accounting standards, and regulatory guidance on the Company's tax position and reporting obligations.
- Monitor US WHT obligations and requirements (experience with US tax treaties LOB provisions desirable).
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the tax reporting function, leveraging NetSuite and tax provision technology.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Taxation (MST) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive corporate income tax experience within a Big4 environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of US federal and state income tax principles, including international tax provisions (GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, FTC).
- Hands-on experience with ASC740 and SEC reporting for a publicly traded company, including the preparation of tax-related disclosures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, hands-on mental and working autonomously with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and functions.
- Ability to work effectively in a truly international organization with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with ASC740 and SEC reporting for a publicly traded company, including the preparation of tax-related disclosures.
- Demonstrated experience with SOX controls and external audit processes.
- Prior in-house experience at a US-listed multinational, ideally in the technology or cloud infrastructure sector.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite and tax provision software.
- Proficiency with data and automation tools.
