Tax Professional - Retail

About the role

This position involves serving as a dedicated retail tax expert at a TurboTax location, providing in-person tax assistance, advice, and software support to customers. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate simple to complex tax situations, optimize deductions, and plan for the future. Additionally, you will serve as a community ambassador, engaging prospects, fostering long-term relationships, and promoting the brand through local marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Offer hands-on tax preparation, advice, and reviews, utilizing professional tools and resources
• Create an exceptional customer experience by understanding client needs and building trust
• Engage with the community by representing TurboTax, generating leads, and supporting local marketing initiatives
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships, contributing to community prosperity

Qualifications & Skills

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of tax preparation experience, including filing 30+ federal and state returns annually
• Strong knowledge of tax law and familiarity with Circular 230
• Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and ability to obtain necessary state licenses
• Comfortable working onsite, in a retail environment, with excellent communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset, customer-focused attitude, and proficiency with tax software and CRM tools
