Tax Preparer

Responsibilities

• Client Consultation: Conduct thorough interviews with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation for tax preparation.
• Tax Planning: Provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients regarding tax-saving strategies and opportunities for future tax planning.
• Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to ensure accurate and complete tax returns, while identifying potential deductions and credits.
• Compliance: Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
• Communication: Clearly communicate tax-related information to clients and address any inquiries or concerns they may have.
• Problem Resolution: Resolve tax-related issues and discrepancies, collaborating with clients and government agencies when necessary.
• Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed records of client information, ensuring confidentiality and security.

Qualifications

• Certifications: IRS PTIN and Maryland registered tax preparer
• Experience: Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of tax codes and regulations.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tax preparation software and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure error-free tax filings.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
