POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates / Tax Planning Paralegal to support sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, trust administration, and tax planning matters. This role works closely with attorneys, clients, accountants, and financial advisors on complex planning strategies for individuals, families, and closely held businesses. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of estate planning documents, trust administration procedures, and tax-related matters, along with exceptional attention to detail and client service skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft and prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, entity formation documents, and related instruments
  • Support trust and estate administration matters, including probate filings, inventories, accountings, beneficiary communications, and distribution tracking
  • Affiliate with estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax planning and compliance activities, including gathering financial information and coordinating with advisors
  • Cooky trust funding activities, prepare deeds, assignments, beneficiary designations, and other asset transfer documentation
  • Serve as a primary client contact while maintaining accurate matter records, files, deadlines, and project timelines
  • Proofread, format, and organize legal documents while providing administrative and project support across estate planning matters

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience supporting trusts & estates, estate planning, trust administration, or tax-focused legal matters within a law firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of tax filings, estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related wealth transfer instruments
  • Experience supporting trust administration, probate proceedings, estate settlement matters, and fiduciary accountings
  • Familiarity with estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax concepts, tax return preparation support, and related compliance requirements
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and client service skills with strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
