This is a leadership-track role for a client-facing tax professional who wants real influence, strong support, and a flexible hybrid schedule. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager or a Tax Supervisor looking to make the jump to a Manager role and work for a company who is far from a traditional accounting firm both in their culture and specialized tax advisory and services which sets them apart.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of public accounting experience (tax-focused)
- Active CPA required
- Proven experience leading multiple client engagements and managing deadlines
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with common tax/accounting tools (QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, MS Word/Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory/managerial tax experience (review + mentoring + engagement leadership)
- Comfort supporting business development and expanding client relationships
Compensation
- $140,000–$165,000 base salary, plus annual bonus eligibility (final offer based on experience, skills, and internal equity)

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
- Plan and schedule engagements, balancing client expectations and internal resources
- Build and maintain direct client relationships (ongoing advisory, not just compliance)
- Review complex tax returns and workpapers; ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Conduct tax research and apply findings to planning and advisory work
- Provide coaching, training, and oversight to develop staff and strengthen delivery
- Manage engagement economics (budgets, production goals) and support business development
- Support consulting and special projects as needed
