We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join our growing tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building long-term relationships
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive strategic advice to clients
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues, staying current on changing tax law and regulations
  • Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff and senior associates
  • Review work product prepared by junior team members for accuracy and quality
  • Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and staffing
  • Aid in IRS and state tax authority notices, audits, and correspondence
  • Participate in business development efforts and identify opportunities for additional client services
  • Collaborate with partners on firm strategy, process improvement, and department growth initiatives (Senior Manager level)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's in Taxation a plus
  • CPA license required (or actively pursuing with plans to complete)
  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience for Tax Manager; 8+ years for Senior Tax Manager
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance and planning
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading engagement teams
  • Proven ability to supervise, develop, and mentor staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with tax preparation and research software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
