Tax Manager - S-Corp, Form 1065, Tax Review

We are a local full-service CPA firm with offices around the Des Moines, Iowa City, and Cedar Rapids areas, in business for over 75 years. We are hiring for our Mason City and Des Moines offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, delegating tasks and responsibilities, and overseeing the work of your team members.
• Develop and implement tax strategies, staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and identifying opportunities for tax planning.
• Review tax returns (some preparation may be needed) for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders, including tax authorities and other regulatory bodies, to handle all tax-related matters effectively and efficiently.
• Manage client relationships and ensure satisfaction with the services provided by your team.
• Train and mentor team members.

Requirements

• At least 5 years in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation.
• 1+ years of manager experience (ideal).
• Experienced with both Business and Individual tax.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent is preferred.
• M.S. in Taxation is preferred.
