Tax Manager-Renewable Energy

About the role

Our client, a rapidly growing renewable energy company in Washington, DC, is seeking a Tax Senior or Tax Manager from a Big 4 or national accounting firm to build and lead its internal tax function, moving beyond client advising to ownership of the full tax function.

Responsibilities

• Federal, state and local tax compliance and planning
• Management of outside tax advisors
• ASC 740 tax provision and deferred tax
• Renewable energy tax incentives
• Partnership and tax equity structures
• Supporting new projects and investments

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax experience
• Renewable energy exposure
• Strong partnership/tax equity or ASC 740 experience

Qualifications

• CPA or MST preferred
• HLBV experience a plus
• Technically strong, hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to operate independently while partnering with Finance, Accounting, Legal and senior management

Pay

$150K–$175K + Bonus
