Tax Manager, Real Estate and Construction

As a Tax Manager, you will provide tax consulting, planning, and compliance services to a diverse client base within the real estate and construction industries. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate complex tax matters, identify planning opportunities, and achieve their business objectives. You will work closely with clients and engagement teams to deliver high-quality service while contributing to the growth and success of the practice. Responsibilities
- Provide tax consulting, planning, and compliance services to clients in the real estate and construction industries.
- Perform tax research and analysis to address complex client issues and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies tailored to clients' business objectives.
- Manage and review tax calculations, returns, and related work products to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through responsive and proactive service.
- Lead multiple client engagements simultaneously while ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with engagement teams to identify, address, and resolve client challenges.
- Anticipate client needs and provide strategic guidance on emerging tax issues and opportunities.
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Contribute to practice growth through business development efforts and the expansion of existing client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation, LLM, or related advanced degree preferred.
- CPA license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting tax experience, with a focus on real estate and construction clients.
- Experience with real estate partnership taxation strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading tax engagements.
- Strong technical tax knowledge, including tax research and planning.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve complex client issues while delivering practical solutions.
- Experience developing and expanding client relationships.
- Strong leadership, project management, and staff development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
$95,500.00 - $195,400.00 per year
Schedule
This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
