About the Role

Managers in our Private Client Services (PCS) practice oversee multiple engagement teams for a wide range of sophisticated clients, including some of the wealthiest families in the U.S., family offices, owner-operated business entities, alternative investment fund principals, trusts, and estates.

  • Engage in business development activities (e.g., prepare proposals, present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to present comprehensive tax strategies to prospective and current clients).
  • Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
  • Draft technical tax memoranda.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate interns, associates, and senior associates.
  • Receive formal PCS and on-the-job training in daily interactions with top tax leaders to learn about legislative changes, wealth transfer techniques, charitable giving strategies, buy/sell agreement planning, etc.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Private Client experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (e.g., CPA or JD).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.
