Tax Manager - Private Client Services
About the role
Managers in our Private Client Services (PCS) practice oversee multiple engagement teams for a wide range of sophisticated clients, which may include some of the Wealthiest Families in the US, Family Offices, Owner Operated Business Entities, Alternative Investment Fund Principals, Trusts and Estates.
Responsibilities
- Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively;
- Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns – including federal and state filings;
- Draft technical tax memoranda;
- Affiliate with tax audits and notices, including preparation of responses for IDR requests;
- Manage resources and coordinate for scheduling needs.
Requirements
- 4+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Private Client experience;
- Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree; Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred);
- Advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (i.e. CPA or JD);
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to enhance project management and client service;
- Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
- Proficient use of tax software and relevant technology.
Pay
Salary Range: For individuals hired to work in Orange County, the expected base salary range for this role is $132,000-190,100. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
