About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Permanent Tax Manager to join our thriving Accounting and Finance team. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance for a portfolio of high net worth clients.
- Review complex tax returns including federal and multi-state returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, partnerships, high net worth individuals, trusts & estates, and foundations.
- Conduct detailed 1120S, 1031 exchange, and real estate tax reviews.
- Utilize expertise in CCH to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation and planning.
- Assist clients with effective tax planning strategies, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership, supervision, training, and performance feedback to staff and seniors.
- Participate in business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and cross-selling the firm's services.
- Stay updated with changing tax laws and explain these changes to the team and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
- Active CPA license or EA designation is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a related field.
- Extensive experience in dealing with high net worth clients, tax planning, and tax return review.
- Proven expertise in 1120S, 1031 Exchange, S Corp, and real estate tax.
- Proficiency in using CCH for tax preparation and planning.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and mentoring a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for providing practical solutions to complex tax issues.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest tax laws and regulations.
