Work You'll Do

  • Deliver tax consulting services to clients.
  • Conduct high-level tax research and prepare tax work papers, financial statement provisions, and related disclosures.
  • Prepare and review client work papers and income tax returns.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Motivate, mentor, supervise, and train new and experienced-level Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
  • Take on lead client contact roles on engagements.
  • Attend required training and facilitate engagement-specific and national training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
  • 5+ years' experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
    • Licensed Attorney.
    • Enrolled Agent.
    • Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA).
    • Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments common to regulated investment companies.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of Subchapter K and investment partnership taxation.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
  • Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
