Work You'll Do
- Deliver tax consulting services to clients.
- Conduct high-level tax research and prepare tax work papers, financial statement provisions, and related disclosures.
- Prepare and review client work papers and income tax returns.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Motivate, mentor, supervise, and train new and experienced-level Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Take on lead client contact roles on engagements.
- Attend required training and facilitate engagement-specific and national training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
- 5+ years' experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- One of the following active accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- Licensed Attorney.
- Enrolled Agent.
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA).
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
- Demonstrated advanced understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments common to regulated investment companies.
- Demonstrated basic understanding of Subchapter K and investment partnership taxation.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
