Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciaries.
  • Exceptional research skills, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Proficient in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all tax operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary) with utmost accuracy.
  • Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide actionable solutions.
  • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize profitability.
  • Liaise with public accounting firms and government agencies on tax-related matters.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the senior management team on all tax-related issues.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and communicate potential impact to the management team.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
