About the role

A growing, mid-sized CPA & Advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its tax practice. This fully remote opportunity offers a strong combination of interesting client work, flexibility, manageable hours, and long-term growth. The firm works primarily with privately held, small to middle-market businesses, business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and family groups across a diverse mix of industries. The role will manage an established client portfolio while staying involved across tax compliance, review, planning, research, and year-round advisory work. This is a stable, independently owned CPA firm with no plans for private equity investment or acquisition, emphasizing flexibility, quality of life, and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an established portfolio of tax clients and engagements
  • Review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and individuals
  • Provide year-round tax planning, research, and advisory support
  • Work directly with privately held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide proactive tax guidance
  • Manage engagement workflow, deadlines, and overall delivery
  • Review work completed by Tax Seniors and Staff
  • Work closely with Partners on complex tax matters and client relationships

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
  • Current Tax Manager, Senior Manager, or experienced Tax Supervisor ready for the next step
  • Strong experience reviewing both business and individual tax returns
  • Experience with partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and individual taxation
  • Strong tax planning, research, and client advisory experience
  • CPA or EA
  • Experience managing client relationships and reviewing staff work
  • CCH Axcess experience is a plus

Pay
