About the role
EY's State and Local Tax (SALT) team is a growing practice within the organization, and you'll see that growth reflected in your career. As a Tax Manager, you’ll manage multiple tax engagements and will contribute to the delivery of quality tax planning and compliance services for our financial services industry clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple tax engagements
- Implement extensive knowledge of state and local tax concepts and law
- Collaborate with colleagues to share and listen to information
- Develop and guide junior tax professionals
- Stay updated on state and local tax developments and develop new service offerings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or economics and 5 years of related work experience
- CPA certification, or good standing as a member of a state bar
- Strong tax technical skills including tax research and writing skills, flow through entity taxation, income and franchise taxes, transfer taxes, and compliance skills as it relates to multi-state jurisdictions
- Project management experience in delivering high quality work products in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

What We Offer
- Cumulative compensation and benefits package
- Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $105,100 to $192,600
