About the role

EY's State and Local Tax (SALT) team is a growing practice within the organization, and you'll see that growth reflected in your career. As a Tax Manager, you’ll manage multiple tax engagements and will contribute to the delivery of quality tax planning and compliance services for our financial services industry clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple tax engagements
  • Implement extensive knowledge of state and local tax concepts and law
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share and listen to information
  • Develop and guide junior tax professionals
  • Stay updated on state and local tax developments and develop new service offerings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or economics and 5 years of related work experience
  • CPA certification, or good standing as a member of a state bar
  • Strong tax technical skills including tax research and writing skills, flow through entity taxation, income and franchise taxes, transfer taxes, and compliance skills as it relates to multi-state jurisdictions
  • Project management experience in delivering high quality work products in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

What We Offer

  • Cumulative compensation and benefits package
  • Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $105,100 to $192,600
