Responsibilities
- Manage various tax credits and incentives projects, including Research and Development (“R&D”) credit, Sustainability and Renewable Energy Credits, CHIPS Credit, etc.
- Develop and refine processes to improve efficiency in data gathering and data analysis
- Work with external tax advisors in completing tax credit calculations and documentation
- Communicate with other business groups to explain tax impacts of business strategies
- Integrate technology and innovation into processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, business, engineering, technology, or other discipline
- 5+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting with experience in tax credits and incentives (including R&D Credits, Renewable Energy Credits, Manufacturing Credits, etc.)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Prior Big 4 experience
- CPA
- Knowledge of engineering or sustainability projects
- Understanding of fixed assets depreciation methods
- Understanding of Inflation Reduction Act and CHIPS Act, as well as Section 41 R&D Credits
- Experience dealing with taxing authorities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is based in Hawthorne, CA (Los Angeles area), and requires being onsite full-time – hybrid and remote work will not be considered
- Willing to work extended hours as necessary
Pay Range
- Level 1: $140,000 - $190,000
