About the role

Managers in our Commercial practice oversee multiple engagements for clients ranging from multi-national corporations to early stage startups. They engage in business development activities, maintain client communication, ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, stay current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively. They also conduct primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings, provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation, supervise, mentor, and evaluate interns, associates, and senior associates, and receive formal corporate tax training, on-the-job training, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Requirements

  • 4+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Corporate Tax experience
  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree; Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred)
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD)
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proficient use of technology

Salary Range: For individuals hired to work in Illinois, the expected salary range for this role is $120,000 to $145,100. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
