Job Details
As a Tax Manager/Auditor (CPA), you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing all tax operations within the organization while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Conducting thorough audits of financial records and transactions to ensure accuracy and conformity with established accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Providing strategic tax planning advice and guidance to the management team, including identifying potential tax advantages and minimizing tax risks.
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, reports, and other financial documents related to real estate tax.
- Liaising with tax authorities and representing the company during tax audits and disputes.
- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's tax policies and procedures remain up-to-date.
- Training and mentoring junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Working collaboratively with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for business decisions.
Qualifications
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in tax management and auditing, with a focus on real estate tax.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting procedures related to real estate.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-finance professionals.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
- Proficiency in using tax software and other financial management tools.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
