Germer & Co. is seeking a seasoned Tax Manager who can step into a leadership role with minimal ramp-up time. This position is designed for an experienced public accounting professional who is comfortable managing complex tax engagements, leading client relationships, reviewing the work of others, and mentoring staff from day one.

Location: Odessa, Texas (In-Office Preferred | Remote Considered for the Right Candidate)

• Required Education: 4 Year Degree

What We're Looking For

• Active CPA or EA designation.
• Preferred: 7+ years of recent public accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or manager-level role.
• Significant experience reviewing complex tax returns and managing tax engagements.
• Proven ability to lead client relationships and mentor professional staff.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make informed decisions.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest ethical standards.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, tax research methodologies, and planning strategies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and people skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound professional judgment, and critical thinking skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa support.
