Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager with 5+ years of progressive tax consulting and compliance experience in a regional or middle market public accounting firm. A broad exposure to tax, including experience in preparing and reviewing complex federal corporate (C and S), multi-state, individual, and partnership returns, is required. A thorough understanding of estate and trust taxation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal corporate (C and S), multi-state, individual, and partnership returns
• Provide guidance on estate and trust taxation
• Engage directly in tax engagements, audit engagements, or ideally both
• Build meaningful client relationships and contacts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
• CPA certification
• MST certification a plus
• 5 or more years of recent and relevant public accounting experience
• Experience with multi-state, consolidated, and consolidating tax returns

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
