Tax Manager
About the role
We are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our Chicago, IL office. You will join our leadership team to help train, develop, and mentor our staff. The right candidate will be dynamic, entrepreneurial, and career-oriented. Responsibilities
- Be part of our leadership team, train, and develop staff
- Manage client work and relationships
- Review and or prepare federal and state corporate & partnership income tax returns
- Review and or prepare income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
- Aid with tax consulting and research, state and local, domestic and international matters common to our clients
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience preparing federal and state income tax returns
- 1-2 years of income tax return review experience
- CPA license preferred
- CCH Axcess experience
- ProSystem fx Engagement experience
Qualifications
- Foreign-owned US subsidiaries, typically from German-speaking countries
- Clients in many industries including manufacturing, distribution, technology & fashion
Skills
- Talent for tax preparation and review
- Ability to manage client relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
