Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services.
• Develop tax planning strategies and prepare tax projections to help clients manage their tax obligations.
• Review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, real estate entities, benefit funds, and exempt organizations.
• Identify potential tax risks and develop appropriate strategies to mitigate them.
• Manage tax compliance and tax provision processes while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Provide guidance and responses to clients regarding federal and state tax notices and correspondence.
• Prepare internal memoranda, client correspondence, and documentation for submissions to the IRS, Treasury Department, and other taxing authorities.
• Train, supervise, review, and evaluate the work of tax staff.
• Manage multiple clients, budgets, priorities, and production deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and implement efficient best practices.
• Research tax issues and provide practical recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA certification.
• Minimum 6 Years Of Public Accounting Tax Experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Proven experience reviewing individual, business, and real estate tax returns.
• Strong accounting, tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Experience With UltraTax Is Preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
