Tax Manager

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple tax projects and client engagements, scheduling, staffing, and coordinating engagement workflow.
- Aid partners with tax services, including planning, research, and compliance.
- Prepare income tax returns for various entities and individuals.
- Apply advanced tax and accounting concepts in tax planning and preparation.
- Identify and discuss potential problem areas in projects with team members.
- Provide tax planning suggestions to managers or partners.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax return information, deadlines, and compliance matters.
- Act as a liaison between partners, clients, and staff.
- Prepare correspondence with IRS and state tax authorities.
- Develop and expand technical capabilities through special training, experience, or knowledge.
- Train staff and develop new business for the firm.
Qualifications
- A current CPA license with 5+ years of experience in public accounting with increasing responsibility.
- Tax knowledge related to C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Individuals, accounting methods, property transactions, and tax research.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as project management and analytical skills.
- This role is based out of our Natomas, Sacramento area office. A hybrid work schedule is offered after the training period.
