Tax Manager
About the role
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Accountants while maintaining individual contributor responsibilities, including preparing and reviewing complex federal, state, local, and multi-state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and nonprofits.
Deliver accurate, timely tax filings and oversee Member engagements to ensure an exceptional experience grounded in clarity, precision, and trust.
Implement and refine tax strategies that support Member growth, efficiency, and compliance, including planning, projections, and addressing complex tax issues.
Partner with accounting teams on year-end close, M&A activity, international tax considerations, and technical projects requiring strong tax expertise.
Build strong relationships with Members through clear, proactive communication and strategic tax insights.

Requirements
- Experience & Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of tax experience in a CPA firm.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and multi-entity, multi-state filings across partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, individuals, and nonprofits (including amended returns).
- Experience preparing or reviewing Form 990 (preferred).
- Experience with early-stage startups, high-growth companies, multinational or multi-jurisdictional organizations.
- International tax experience (preferred).
- Experience supporting tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong understanding of year-end accounting processes, including adjustments and workpaper preparation.
- Ability to research complex tax issues and communicate findings clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience — coaching, mentoring, and developing staff while also owning individual tax deliverables.
- Comfort in a digital, cloud-based, paperless environment; remote-work experience a plus.

This is a remote, US-based position. Please note we also have the option to work from our offices in Miami or Denver.
On-target earnings of $130-$160K, consisting of base salary + semi-annual bonus.
