About the Role

This internship offers hands-on experience with real client projects and tax filings, mentorship from experienced tax professionals, and exposure to a diverse range of industries to enrich your tax skill set. You’ll work in a supportive team environment that nurtures growth and camaraderie.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
• Shadow tax professionals of all levels
• Conduct tax research to stay up to date on current tax laws and regulations
• Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Collaborate with other interns on a group project to be presented at the end of the internship
• Participate in client meetings alongside YHB managers
• Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
• Gain foundational, practical knowledge related to the tax service industry

Requirements

• Knowledge from your Intermediate Accounting 1 coursework
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of tax principles and accounting practices
