About the role

Bennett Thrasher is seeking Tax internship candidates for a Spring 2028 internship in Dallas, TX. Tax interns are presented with opportunities to experience several different areas of Tax. The firm strives to give interns responsibilities and experience similar to that of a first-year staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards/theory
• Accurately and efficiently prepare tax returns and utilize feedback to prevent repeating errors
• Prepare income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients
• Conduct research, analysis, development, and summarization of financial information
• Analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Maintain and organize client files in accordance with firm standards
• Work effectively with all levels of firm leadership to provide quality service to clients
• Receive mentoring through the firm’s Buddy program
• Prepare tax planning assignments and research projects

Qualifications

• Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher (junior, senior, or master’s student)
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week
