Tax Intern- Spring 2027
Position Summary
Aid in the preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
Support quarterly and annual accounting tasks that contribute to tax preparation.
Review prior returns and documents to gather and organize missing information.
Record tax data accurately and pay attention to connections across entities.
Calculate quarterly and annual estimated tax liabilities.
Engage in basic tax planning discussions and projects as needed.
Communicate clearly with internal team members to resolve data or document issues.
Contribute to team projects and participate in learning opportunities and training sessions.
Demonstrate flexibility to undertake a range of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership.
Meet agreed-upon targets to ensure individual performance and overall firm productivity.
Required Background
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting and tax principles, with a desire to expand knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling numbers and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn tax preparation software.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and seek feedback to enhance work quality.
- Availability to work part-time or full-time during the internship term, with flexibility during peak deadlines.
