Tax Expert - Retail

About the role

We are seeking motivated Retail Experts to serve as trusted advisors at TurboTax retail or flagship locations across the U.S. In this role, you will provide in-person tax preparation, advice, and support, helping customers navigate complex tax situations and maximize refunds. Your responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, building community relationships, and growing the client base through proactive outreach and local marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete tax returns for diverse client needs
• Identify deductions, minimize liabilities, and offer future tax planning
• Create a positive customer experience to foster trust and loyalty
• Engage with the community, represent TurboTax locally, and attract new clients
• Assist with marketing initiatives and build a local social presence

Qualifications

• Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of tax preparation experience

Skills

• Proficient in professional tax software, with experience filing 30+ tax returns per season
• Strong knowledge of tax law, Circular 230, and state licensing requirements
• Excellent communication, customer service, and community engagement skills
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and entrepreneurial mindset are a plus
• Comfortable working onsite, with a flexible schedule, in a retail environment
