Tax Expert - Retail

Role Overview As a TurboTax Retail Expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor in a retail or flagship location, providing in-person tax assistance and software support to customers. Your responsibilities include delivering full-service tax return preparation, offering personalized tax advice, uncovering deductions, and helping clients optimize refunds. You will act as a community ambassador, engaging prospects, nurturing leads, and representing TurboTax locally through marketing efforts, educational content, and community events. Building long-term relationships and fostering customer loyalty are key goals. Qualifications & Skills Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of tax preparation experience.Proficiency in filing federal and state individual tax returns using professional software.Knowledge of tax law, Circular 230, and tax planning strategies.Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.Comfortable working onsite, in a retail environment, and engaging with the community.Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and entrepreneurial mindset are a plus. Key Duties Provide hands-on tax preparation and advice for diverse tax situations.Create exceptional customer experiences, addressing inquiries and overcoming tax challenges.Build and maintain community relationships, attract new clients, and promote tax education.Participate in local marketing initiatives, content creation, and community engagement.Represent the brand professionally, wear company attire, and work in a fast-paced retail setting.
