As a TurboTax - Local Service Expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor, empowering customers to achieve positive financial outcomes while supporting Intuit’s mission of “Powering Prosperity Around the World.”

Responsibilities

• Provide tax expertise - Give hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments).
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Utilize resources such as government websites, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language.
• Be a proactive community ambassador - Embody a “community ambassador” and “business owner” mindset to actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax.
• Serve as the local face of TurboTax, converting new prospects into loyal, long-term clients.
• Organize and lead local events such as financial literacy workshops, community pop-ups, and networking gatherings with the support of TurboTax marketing tools and resources, to create consistent opportunities for customer engagement and brand awareness.
• Champion the full Intuit ecosystem - Act as a trusted guide for every client by developing a deep understanding of their complete financial picture and connecting them with the Intuit solutions best positioned to move them forward.
• Build relationships - Connect with people, demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to their financial concerns and build the long-term trust that turns a one-time transaction into a loyal, multi-year relationship.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience - Create an exceptional customer experience, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping clients achieve their financial goals (e.g., saving for retirement, college funds, weddings, or vacations).

Requirements

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency-based up-skilling, cross-training of other products or offerings, and professional development.
• Willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms.
• Willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interested in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
