Tax Expert

Role Overview As a TurboTax Retail Expert, you will provide in-person tax services at retail locations, offering expert advice, full-service tax return preparation, and software support. You will build long-term customer relationships, help clients maximize refunds, minimize liabilities, and plan for future taxes, all while creating an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Community Engagement: Represent TurboTax locally, attract and convert prospects, and participate in marketing efforts to increase community presence.Tax Expertise: Handle simple to complex tax situations, conduct discovery sessions, and use various resources to deliver personalized tax solutions.Customer Service: Deliver professional, friendly service, address inquiries, and foster trust to turn one-time clients into long-term customers. Qualifications & Skills Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of tax preparation experience.Experience filing 30+ federal and state individual tax returns annually using professional software.Familiarity with Circular 230, State licensing, and strong communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.Comfort working onsite, engaging with the community, and creating tax-related content.Entrepreneurial mindset, high empathy, excellent communication, and tech proficiency. Additional Attributes: Passion for empowering clients, building community presence, and working independently in a fast-paced environment. Willing to wear a uniform and work in a retail setting. Residence within the U.S. is required.
