About the role
The Ohio Department of Taxation seeks multiple Tax Examiner Associates to serve as the "front line" for customer service. This includes handling phone calls, emails, live chats, and face-to-face interactions at the Welcome Center. Additionally, you will educate taxpayers by responding to written and verbal questions, attending outreach events, and creating instructional materials.
Responsibilities
- Educate taxpayers by responding to written and verbal questions, attending outreach events, and helping create instructional materials.
- Learn all aspects of the taxes administered by Taxation.
Requirements
- Undergraduate core program in business related field or public administration which included 2 courses in accounting; 3 mos. exp. in customer service.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
