Tax Director - Private Client Services

Weaver is looking for talented tax leaders at the Director level to join our growing firm!
About the role
A Private Client Services Director provides federal tax compliance and planning services to high-net-worth individual clients and privately held businesses. A Weaver Tax Director is an entrepreneur who successfully creates new business for the firm and develops the next generation of Weaver’s leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide federal tax compliance and planning services to high-net-worth individual clients and privately held businesses
- Create new business for the firm and develop the next generation of Weaver’s leaders
- Manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or EA
- 9+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, privately owned business, investment partnerships, estates, and trusts
- Technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in multiple industries
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Skills
The ideal candidate is a CPA with 9+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm. Technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in multiple industries.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $200,000 to $300,000 in the California, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
