About The Role

Moore Colson is seeking a Tax Director to join its collaborative, client-focused team. This leadership role involves overseeing complex tax engagements, managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and contributing to strategic tax planning across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve complex tax returns and audits
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws
• Lead tax research and planning initiatives
• Serve as a technical resource for staff and clients
• Supervise and mentor tax team members
• Collaborate with audit teams on large client engagements

Requirements

• CPA licensure required
• Bachelor’s in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
• 8+ years in public accounting with increasing responsibility
• Experience representing clients before tax authorities
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx) preferred
