Olsen Thielen, a progressive and well-established 100+ year-old firm headquartered in Roseville, MN, with an additional office in Eden Prairie, is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our team. Essential Functions

• Perform technical tax reviews and approvals of tax returns.
• Lead and delegate tax research and tax planning projects.
• Actively participate in client meetings and tax strategy development.
• Serve as a resource to staff and address complex tax issues.
• Communicate key tax updates to both the internal team and clients.
• Manage, train, and mentor staff, providing performance feedback and guidance.
• Ensure efficient and timely delivery of tax projects, meeting productivity goals.
• Stay informed on economic and legislative changes impacting the tax landscape.
• Achieve business development goals by marketing firm services to current and prospective clients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA certification (MBT is a plus but not required).
• 9+ years of tax experience.
• Strong technical tax consulting skills.
• Leadership abilities in coaching, mentoring, and directing staff.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Proven success in business development and marketing.

Pay

The starting salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000, based on factors like experience, qualifications, and organizational needs.
