Tax Director
Your Role
The Tax team at NKSFB, LLC is seeking a high-level tax professional to serve as Tax Director at our Westwood office. The ideal candidate will oversee complex tax strategies, compliance, and advisory services primarily for high-net-worth individuals, entertainment clients, family offices, and closely held businesses.
What will you do
- Design and implement tax-saving strategies for individuals and business entities
- Advise on entity structure, investments, and long-term financial planning
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns
- Ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, entertainment clients, and family offices
- Provide guidance on significant financial decisions (e.g., acquisitions, real estate, partnerships)
- Collaborate with external advisors on tax and financial matters
- Lead and manage client engagements with a focus on delivering tailored, high-quality service
- Manage, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers
- Facilitate training and continuing education
- Review work, provide constructive feedback, and ensure deadlines are met
- Represent clients during IRS and state tax audits or disputes
- Handle complex notices, correspondence, and negotiations
What Do you Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or a related field
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) license
- 7-12+ years of relevant tax experience
- Partnership and S-Corporation taxation
- Multi-state taxation
- Pass-through entity tax planning and compliance
- High-net-worth individual taxation
- U.S. foreign reporting and compliance
- Taxation of U.S. non-resident aliens
- Strong client relationship management
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience working with tax preparation software such as BNA and CCH Axcess
Physical Requirements
- The role requires standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 15 pounds
- The position involves frequent use of hands as well as reaching with hands and arms
- The employee will regularly be required to talk, hear, see, and sit
- The work environment may involve a moderate to loud noise level
Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $275,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
