About the role
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Director to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead individual tax planning and compliance activities while developing strategies that support long term financial objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and key stakeholders by providing guidance on complex tax matters.
- Oversee preparation and review of tax filings estimates projections and related reporting requirements.
- Partner with finance legal and business teams to identify planning opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
- Manage tax department operations by developing processes improving efficiency and ensuring high quality service delivery.
Requirements
- A Bachelor degree in accounting taxation or a related field.
- Bring ten or more years of progressive experience in individual tax planning and compliance.
- Possess a professional credential such as CPA EA or legal designation.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of individual business entity and partnership taxation principles.
- Have experience leading and developing teams while managing complex tax engagements and priorities.
Qualifications
- Communicate effectively with executives stakeholders and external advisors through strong written and verbal skills.
- Apply strategic thinking and sound judgment when evaluating tax opportunities risks and compliance matters.
- Maintain strong analytical and problem solving abilities while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Foster collaboration mentorship and professional growth within a team focused environment.
- Bring public accounting experience advanced tax education or exposure to healthcare retail or similar industries considered beneficial.
Pay
Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $260,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
