The Tax Deed Specialist is a professional role within the Recording Division of the Customer Services Department in the Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office. Responsibilities
- Monitor all stages of the tax deed process, including tax deed sales and surplus funds distribution.
- Ensure processes adhere to quality standards by actively monitoring workflows and addressing potential issues promptly.
- Contribute to the review and maintenance of policies to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality rules and laws by accurately distinguishing between public and nonpublic records.
- Deliver staff training as directed to ensure compliance with legal and procedural standards.
- Provide reporting and executive administrative support.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues while driving innovation to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Ensure work is accurate, neat, and completed within department performance standards.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, English, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Proven experience coordinating business processes and experience with administrative tasks.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License (or ability to obtain upon hire).
