About the role

A professional services firm in New Jersey is looking to fill an immediate need by adding a new Tax Collator to their team. This in-office role supports a fast-paced tax team by organizing client materials, managing administrative tasks, and helping ensure timely presentation-ready document preparation.

Standard business hours; occasional evenings and Saturday hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Rollover client data from one year to the next
  • Process correspondence for tax staff
  • Auxiliary preparation of engagement letters
  • Answer phones, scan and fax documents, and coordinate conference and Zoom calls
  • Provide administrative support to a tax partner, including mail sorting, office supply ordering, and related office tasks

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PDF, and Outlook
  • Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills
  • Professional acumen and a team-oriented, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to commit to the duration of the assignment

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience supporting a tax-specific team
  • Familiarity with CCH Access or XCM software
  • Experience with other tax software
  • Exposure to public accounting environments
